Sparrows Galore

A plethora of sparrows live in Southeast AZ. Several are monsoon breeders, and when the rain begins to fall their songs erupt and fill the desert with joy. One of those happens to be the striking Rufous-crowned Sparrow. While hiking in the oak-laden hillsides of the Huachuca Mountains, its cheerful song always reminds me how blessed I am to be in the place.
